The Balanchine Pin
George Balanchine was a visionary, a musical poet - and a revloutionary giant. Most thought him a genius. He called himself Balletmaster. His enthusiasm lives in us all - and is captured in a pin designed for the New York City Ballet's celebration of Balanchine's complete works. The gold and red enameled pin depicts a silhouette of the coreographer, and is packaged in a tin with lambs wool, which is used in ballerinas' toe shoes.
